This book has taken the front position among all efforts made so far to put the history of Ovrode on record. In the consideration of the architects of the ideas that led to this effort, it is of a great importance to appreciate the united and strong demand of the people of Ovrode to propagate the sovereignty of Ovrode town as a distinct community in Erewo-Esa within a larger framework of Isoko nation, the Delta State and the country Nigeria.
